This appliance is intended to produce a molar distalizing effect in the maxilla in the range of approximately 5 mm. A large acrylic button is used as an anchoring component and .032 TMA springs produce a light and continuous force against the molars. The anchoring component is secured to the bicuspids or primary molars with bands or bonding.
